Veterans Badges

Elizabeth Court were delighted to have the company of the Mayor and Mayoress of St Helens once again.

One of Elizabeth Court's Carers, Katya Walker, used to serve in the Armed Forces and thought it would be a lovely idea to organise a veterans badge presentation for those residents who also served. Katya sent for badges and certificates and the Mayor agreed to present them to those involved. A small church service was held and afternoon tea provided. All the staff were touched by this special day and residents and their families were very proud. It is important to remember those who fought in the World Wars to give us the lives we have today. Some of Elizabeth Court's residents helped in making a poppy wall decoration which reminds us every day "Lest we forget".
